2018 SRC Talent Night Exceeds Expectations

2018 SRC Talent Night Exceeds Expectations

On the 23rd of July, Elwood College had it’s annual Talent Night in our very own Phoenix Theatre, run solely by the Student Representative Committee. The event was to raise money for State Schools’ Relief, an organisation that donates textbooks and school supplies for those in need.

By the end of the night we had raised over a thousand dollars for the organisation, exceeding our expectations. Overall, the night was a huge success with a range of competitors showing off their unique talents. There was gorgeous ballet, lovely singing and even a rendition of Kate Bush’s iconic Wuthering Heights dance! The winners of the night were Coco Ting-Ntimih in third place with a superb dance to Sia’s Big Girls Cry, Henry, Orlando, Hugh and Jackson in second place with a groovy cover of Pink Floyd’s Another Brick in the Wall and Ava Gibson in first place with a soulful original piece, ‘Your Song’. Big thanks to all, including parents and teachers who helped to make it all happen. We can’t wait for next year!
