Term 3 Arrangements - A Message from Our Principal

Dear Students, Staff and Families,

I have received limited information from DET and am advised further information will come later in the week.  I’ll outline what I know so far and will update you further as needed this week.
There will be five pupil-free days from Monday 13 to Friday 17 July for all students except for the following:

  • Students enrolled in Years 11 and 12
  • Students in Year 10 enrolled in a VCE study, for VCE lessons

These students will all attend on-site from Monday 13 July.
The advice from DET indicates a possibility of remote and flexible learning.  I will update you when a definitive decision is communicated to us about what school will look like beyond July 20.
Schools are expected to provide a program of care and supervision for those parents/carers who cannot work from home and for vulnerable students.  Please note that Elwood College does not normally operate a holiday care program, so what we can offer will be mostly supervision.  If your child can stay at home, they must stay at home.
If you believe your child needs supervision next week, please notify Will Spring by email by Noon on Friday so we can make arrangements for Monday.  There will be a form for parents/carers to complete, but we are waiting on DET advice before this is available.
