Year 9 student Ledia Terolli reports on the Advanced Learning Program at Elwood Primary, where Elwood College students act as mentors.

Every Wednesday after school, Victoria Loizides, Michela Sicari, Vanessa Charles and I go over to Elwood Primary School and help out the students in the Advanced Learning Program, along with university students.

PCYC St Kilda runs a free Homework Club every Thursday night 5-6.30pm at 179 Inkerman St, St Kilda. All Elwood College students are welcome. The club is staffed by two teachers and a tutor who can help with homework.

The Club is a pilot program that will run through June and July (but not during school holidays). If well used it may continue as a permanent program.

Year 12 student Niamh Clarke reports on her second time playing in the AFL Youth Girls National Championships in May, representing Victoria Metro.

This year the carnival was held in Western Australia and we were eager to take back the cup after last year's defeat in the Grand Final. Over four days we played three games against Vic Country, WA and QLD.
