Our Bay: Treasures and Truths 27 June

Elwood Primary is hosting a film night 'Our Bay: Treasures and Truths' in the Phoenix Theatre on Tuesday, 27 June 6.30-8.30pm.

This is a reprise of the film night Elwood College students hosted last year, featuring a double bill of two DVDs Melbourne Down Under and Baykeepers.

Former Elwood College teacher and Love Our Street 3184 coordinator Jill Sokol is again helping students to run the film night. "Those who attended last year were amazed at the richness of marine life in Port Phillip Bay and learned about the threats plastics pose to that treasured environment.  Please support this great community initiative," she said.

Tickets $5 child, $10 adult or $25 family (2 adults & 2 children) at www.trybooking.com/280163.

The event is a fundraiser for Boomerang Bags, a new community group providing alternatives to plastic shopping bags in the City of Port Phillip.

Elwood College has donated the use of the Phoenix Theatre for the fundraiser.
